Second Bienal of Latinamerican Contemporary Jewellery “Vecinos”

Amongst 123 jewelers and artists selected from all over Latinamerica, Toglla I Necklace was selected for this second bienal.

This event is a one of this kind in the region, and is an initiative by Argentinian Jewelers and the Museum of Popular Arts José Hernández. For this edition the theme was “Neighbours”, and the aim was to explore relations between proximity and rejection, public or private, community and frontier, coexistence and mutual respect. This piece is called “Toglla” (ancestral community- knot in kichwa) and is inpired by multiplicity and diversity. Merging a little re intrepretation of andean – coastal and modern-ancient relations.
